Welcome to Eat Street, a vibrant food, cocktail and entertainment celebration right in the heart of Wellington’s Courtenay Precinct.

On Saturday 13 September 2025Wellington comes alive for not one but two events: the All Blacks vs South Africa Freedom Cup Test at 7:05 pm at Sky Stadium, and Eat Street at Courtenay Precinct—a cool little food and entertainment event stage set just steps away.

Eat Street takes place in the vibrant Courtenay Precinct, located in the heart of Wellington’s Te Aro entertainment district. To support the event’s atmosphere of community gathering and live performances by local artists, the Courtenay Place Service Road will be temporarily closed.

The city’s iconic nightlife and hospitality hub transforms into a walkable feast, featuring 25+ venues offering tasting-size dishes, signature cocktails, and curated drink pairings. It’s your chance to eat, sip, and discover the very best of Courtenay Place—one bite at a time.

Live entertainment including Sam Manzanza + Afrobeats Aotearoa DJ Academy, Crash Bandihoot, Circus acts, Lion dancers, Street food, Face painting

Council Buses to the stadium available.  Game day tickets can be used on public transport.
